Nancy Simonds will talk about the famous nineteenth century American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and his journey to northern Europe on behalf of Harvard University.
Nancy holds Honors BA (MA) from Oxford University, a PhD from Cornell University, and a MLIS from the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College. She has taught at the University of California, Harvard University and most recently at the University of Michigan. Her career includes six years as Director of Visiting Fellows and Non-Degree Students and Dean of Students at Harvard University (GSAS), nine years as a curator and rare-book specialist at the Houghton Library of Harvard University and seven years as director of the rare books, manuscripts and archives of Colby College. She has curated numerous exhibitions, written catalogues and published many scholarly articles
