Join the Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club in celebrating its first contemporary art installation! The UFORGE Gallery will be presenting six artists’ novel approach to the history of the JPTC as interpreted through a variety of media, including assemblage and collage. The exhibit will be installed on-site at the Loring Greenough House and will be on view from April 20- June 29.

Sam Adams beer generously provided by Jamaica Plain’s own Boston Beer Company for the opening.

A Social Convergence: Assembling JPTC’s Past & Present

The JP Tuesday Club would like to share their unique perspective on Jamaica Plain history with new generations, articulated with the help of artists working in a variety of media. Artists are invited to immerse themselves in the intertwining stories behind this historic landmark and its many central characters: from the Loring and Greenough families, to socialites of the early 20th century, to members of the JPTC, past and present. Work must be original and must be site specific. Final submissions will be on view for approximately three months from April through June in the Loring- Greenough House’s Rees Room, curated by UFORGE Gallery in collaboration with the JPTC. Mother Mary Rogers, founder of the Maryknoll Sisters
