Nausheen Eusuf is a PhD candidate in English at Boston University and a graduate of the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins. Her poetry has appeared in The American Scholar, Poetry Daily, PN Review, Salmagundi, World Literature Today, and Best American Poetry 2018. Her first full-length collection, Not Elegy, But Eros, was published by NYQ Books (US) and Bengal Lights Books (Bangladesh). Website: www.nausheeneusuf.com.
Robert W. Fieseler is a recipient of the Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship and the Lynton Fellowship in Book Writing. His first book Tinderbox: The Untold Story of the Up Stairs Lounge Fire and the Rise of Gay Liberation, a work of civil rights history published by W.W. Norton/Liveright, reconstructs the 1973 fire that devastated New Orleans’ subterranean gay community. A writer for Buzzfeed, Quartz and elsewhere, Fieseler married his longtime partner at Walden Pond and lives in Boston.
Gail Mazur is the author of Nightfire (1978); The Pose of Happiness (1986), The Common (1995); They Can’t Take That Away from Me (2001), finalist for the National Book Award; Zeppo’s First Wife: New and Selected Poems (2005), winner of The Massachusetts Book Prize and finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the Paterson Poetry Prize; Figures in a Landscape (2011); and Forbidden City (2016). She is distinguished writer in residence at Emerson College.
Suggested donation: $5.00 or whatever you can afford. (We mean this. We would rather have you than your money.) Free refreshments are served.
Parking Information: The Loring Greenough House has a parking lot, but four spaces are reserved for ZIP Cars. Please respect these spaces, and also please try not to park on the grass. There is non-restricted street parking and a large, free public parking lot off Centre Street between Burroughs and Thomas Streets just a block from the Loring Greenough House.
