Fuller was an author, editor, journalist, literary critic, educator, Transcendentalist, and womens&#8217; rights advocate. She helped educate the women of her day by leading a series of Conversations in which women were empowered to read, think and discuss important issues of the day.</p> <p>Rev. Rankin has been a minister at First Parish of Concord since 1997 and has taught classes on Emerson, Thoreau, Fuller and the Transcendentalists. She has also led a trip to Italy tracing the steps of the Transcendentalists.
