Introducing The 2021 Loring Greenough House Programs and Interpretation Fellowship for High School Students
Description of Fellowship: Historic buildings and museums, especially in light of an abnormal year, have shifted how they craft their programs and who the audiences will be. At the Loring Greenough House, we have expanded our programming to invite diverse audiences into our spaces. As an organization committed to the community, the 2021 Loring Greenough House Programs and Interpretation Fellowship seeks 2-3 motivated high school students who wish to learn about programs, education, and interpretation for historic cultural heritage sites. Our Fellows will undergo a certification program in historical interpretation, will help execute and plan programming, and will lead a Fall 2021 program for the Loring Greenough House, where an awards ceremony will occur upon completion of the Fellowship. Fellowship will run from July to October 2021.
Eligibility: Must be a high school junior/senior (Fall 2021) with an interest in history, art history, and community organizing. Proficiency in other languages is a plus! Applicants from the Jamaica Plain and Roslindale communities are highly encouraged to apply. Must be able to attend in-person events this summer and fall. Our site is accessible by public transportation.
Compensation: $200 per student, free admission to various House-sponsored programs
