House Management Committee manages the historic structure of the Loring-Greenough House, including preservation, rehabilitation, systems and ongoing maintenance projects. The committee seeks volunteers with interest in historic preservation, architectural history, domestic and social history, research, building maintenance and hands-on involvement.
Landscape Committee manages the care, preservation, and advancement of the grounds of the Loring-Greenough House. The immediate challenges are twofold: to bring the overall condition of the landscape to a higher level even as we make long term plans to improve the health and viability of the property through the creation, funding, and implementation of a Landscape Master Plan. Daily progress is made as lawns, gardens and tree health are nurtured. The Master Plan Sub-Committee now begins the process of looking into the future to anticipate ever-changing needs. Volunteers are needed on all fronts, from yard care to landscape planning.
