CHAPTER AND VERSE LITERARY READING SERIES

Readings, featuring an ever-changing array of well-known poets and writers, are followed by a reception, including refreshments and an opportunity to meet and talk with the readers, buy their books, and have them signed.

Kathi Aguero
Kathleen Aguero’s latest book is After That (Tiger Bark Books), her other poetry collections includeInvestigations: The Mystery of the Girl Sleuth (Cervena Barva Press), (Cedar Hill Books), The Real Weather (Hanging Loose), and Thirsty Day (Alice James Books). She has also co-edited three volumes of multi-cultural literature for the University of Georgia Press (A Gift of Tongues, An Ear to the Ground,and Daily Fare) and is consulting poetry editor of Solstice Literary Magazine. She teaches the low-residency M.F.A. program at Pine Manor College and in Changing Lives through Literature, an alternative sentencing program.

Terry Kitchen

Though best known as an award-winning songwriter and musician, releasing ten CDs of original contemporary folk music since the 1990s, Terry Kitchen has also written fiction, personal non-fiction, and plays. His 2013 novel Next Big Thing, based on his years with the ’80s Boston rock band Loose Ties, was called “a great debut novel” by the San Francisco Book Review. Terry lives in Roslindale with his wife and cat.

David Miller

David P. Miller’s chapbook, The Afterimages, was published in 2014 by Červená Barva Press. His poems have appeared in print in Meat for Tea, Stone Soup Presents Fresh Broth, Ibbetson Street,Stone’s Throw, and the 2014 Bagel Bards Anthology, and online in the Muddy River Poetry Review,Wilderness House Literary Review, Oddball Magazine, and the Boston and Beyond Poetry Blog. He has three “micro-chapbooks” available from the Origami Poems Project website. David participates in the Tuesday night poetry workshop conducted by Tom Daley at the Boston Center for the Arts. He was a member of the multidisciplinary Mobius Artists Group of Boston for 25 years. David lives in Jamaica Plain and is a librarian at Curry College in Milton.

Suggested donation $5.00 or whatever you can afford. (We mean this. We would rather have you than your money.) Free refreshments are served.

Parking Information: The Loring-Greenough House has a parking lot, but four spaces are reserved for ZIP Cars. Please respect these spaces, and also please try not to park on the grass. There is ample nonrestricted street parking and a large, free public parking lot off Centre Street between Burroughs and Thomas Streets just a block from the Loring-Greenough House.
