Sunday Afternoon Concert – Foggy Mountain Consort
Sunday, April 8, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$15Please join us for our ongoing series of afternoon parlor concerts.
The Foggy Mountain Consort is Boston’s premier R&B band – that is, Renaissance & Bluegrass. This five-member ensemble fuses the delicate beauty of Renaissance music with the inventiveness and energy of fiddle and banjo-driven roots music, with the honest beauty of traditional folk songs.
The band began as the brainchild of Peter Lehman and Lauck Benson, who recognized the unexpected magical synergy of lute and banjo. With the addition of Anne Goodwin’s soulful alto, Art Schatz’s soaring fiddle, and Doug Freundlich on the violone… the band was born. The Foggy Mountain Consort prides itself on capturing the spirit and richness of its diverse musical sources with a fresh and approachable attitude.
Tickets are available at the door: $15 ($10 for members, seniors and students) Or Online HERE.
