The Egg Hunt at the Loring Greenough House has evolved into a neighborhood tradition over the past 8 years. The hunt has slowly grown and changed but the fun is still the same: searching for eggs, participating in fun activities, eating ice cream from our friends at J.P. Licks, and enjoying the outdoors. Seeing everyone on the Lawn each spring has been pure pleasure for the volunteers at Loring Greenough House.
However, this event has grown so large that we have come to realize that we don’t have the necessary volunteers and resources to host the number of guests we have come to expect.
We are terribly sorry to announce that there will be no egg hunt at the Loring Greenough House this year.
Instead, we will be focusing our efforts on planning for Thursdays on the Lawn 2020, caring for the Lawn and Garden, and expanding our family programming.
Here are some other local spring celebration events that may interest you. (We will add more as we hear about them!)
- Egg Decorating at the Eliot School
- Roslindale Egg Hunt
- Duckling Day at the Public Garden
- Dedham Community House Egg Hunt
Thank you for your continued support of our community programming.
